.

1. Communities are made of individuals and groups who work together to meet their basic needs in relationship to the environment in which they live. Examples of communities include families, neighborhoods, schools, towns, cities, countries, continents and planets.

2. Each community can have an impact on another as well as a cumulative effect over time. Problems that arise within a community are usually best addressed by the individuals and groups within that community.

3. "Doing good" supports the relationship between people, their community and their environment.
