Module 3 Lesson 1 Fin Rummy Salmonids change their habitat requirements throughout their life cycle. Using a card game format, students identify the six different life cycle changes of the salmonid, place them in sequence and identify the habitat they occupy at each stage. |

1. A habitat is a place where an animal or plant lives while meeting its needs. 2. Cycles are changes that occur in a pattern that repeats itself. Some physical objects, plants and animals change in some way when they are part of a cycle. Other physical objects may also change but not be part of any cycle. |
