Getting It Together

As individuals or in cooperative learning groups, students assemble and then color a giant salmonid puzzle.

1. Thinking about things as systems means looking for how every part relates to others. Most systems living and nonliving are made up of smaller parts that, when put together, can do things the parts could not do by themselves.

2. Problems we encounter are often solved much easier in a cooperative setting. Problem solving, effort and resourcefulness are all enhanced when a group works towards a common goal.
