First Impressions

Working in cooperative groups students explore the various structures and textures of the external anatomy of a fish using the ancient art form of Gyotaku to make a fish print.

1. The function or use of something is usually related to its shape.

2. Living things have physical characteristics that allow them to survive. They use these characteristics to meet their basic needs for food, oxygen, protection, shelter and reproduction.

3. Knowing what animals do to survive allows one to make predictions about their characteristics.
